The Chasers on ITV’s beloved quiz show The Chase may seem intimidating, but at the end of the day, they are only human. In the show, teams of four try to build up as much money as they can by answering general knowledge questions, before then going up against one of six chasers, in a bid to keep the money that they have accumulated. While the Chasers may all seem an incredibly intelligent bunch – with the high IQ’s to prove it – they are not unbeatable, as many contestants have demonstrated in the past.

But which chaser gets beaten the most on the show, and which one has proven to be the most formidable?

Which chaser gets the beaten the most?

If you’ve ever wanted to go on The Chase, you probably already have a good idea about which Chaser you would like to face – and which ones you would like to avoid. Date experts at fansite One Question Shootout have crunched the numbers to work out which Chaser is the easiest one to face, statistically speaking. The study revealed that Shaun Wallace – otherwise known as the Dark Destroyer – is the Chaser who has been defeated the most times. Wallace has a victory average of 75.1%, which is still quite impressive, but puts him at the bottom of the ranking when compared to his fellow Chasers.

Which Chaser is the hardest to beat?

The question now is, which Chaser is the hardest to beat?

That honour belongs to Anne Hagerty – AKA The Governess – who has managed to maintain a winning 82.4% over the course of 11 years and 350 episodes. The 61-year-old has also achieved 100% accuracy in 23 episodes of The Chase, as well as the highest amount of clean sweeps, which is when a Chaser manages to not get a single question wrong in the Final Chase. Second in the rankings and not very far behind is Paul ‘The Sinnerman’ Sinha, who is only 0.1% behind her in his winning streak. Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett comes in third place, followed by Jenny ‘The Vixen’ Ryan in fourth while Wallace is at the bottom of the pack in fifth. Chaser Darragh ‘The Menace’ Ennis – who joined the show in February 2021 – is not included in the statistics but has already set a record for most consecutive wins with eight victories.

The Chase airs weekdays on ITV at 5pm.

However, prior to the age of 18, a child can be or may be emancipated, or declared an adult in the eyes of the state of Texas. To declare emancipation, the child must have a full time job, be capable of supporting his/herself, and prove to a court that he/she does not need parental supervision any longer. This is a difficult burden for a teenager to overcome.
