The participants were predominantly from Sweden, Norway, and the United States. As a result, the findings may not accurately reflect the global population. According to an older study in the British Medical Journal (BMJ), about 30% of couples trying to conceive will get pregnant within the first month, and around 90% will do so within the first year. Many couples take longer than this to get pregnant. This is not necessarily a cause for concern, but people who experience this may want to speak with their doctor.
