If you’re reading this, which I think you might be, then it’s quite possible you're unfamiliar with what a Soul Number is or what Numerology is all about. Get excited, because you’re about to discover something to post on your Instagram story that no one else has yet. Numbers are everywhere. They’re found in the way we communicate and travel, in the way we tell time and dates, and in the way that state trooper pulled you over for speeding on your way home cause you had to go to bathroom SO bad.

How did this come to be?

Numerology can be traced back for centuries, the oldest recordings having been found in ancient Egypt. Pythagoras - the daddy responsible for math and confusion - was a master numerologist. He was a Greek philosopher who developed the Pythagorean Number System, which is his interpretation of the idea that every number is associated with meaning. Pythagoras, along with many religious groups, believed anything in the universe can be explained through numbers. This is what modern numerology has its roots in, and also where YOU come into this whole thing. Have you ever made a wish at 11:11, or looked at the barista a little too long when your total at Starbies is $6.66? Do you see a certain number, day in day out, that seems to follow you wherever you are? Every number has it’s own vibrational frequency, and so do we. If you’re familiar with the Law of Attraction, you know that ‘like things’ are attracted to ‘like things’. If you've never heard of this concept, I highly highly recommend you read E-Squared by Pam Grout, ASAP. It changed my life along with many, many others. **But do it after this article, xo** We’re able to use these numbers we encounter as a guide of what’s to come, as messages from different planes, of hints to our life’s purpose, and so much more. The possibilities are truly endless. There are countless ways to interpret how numbers resonate with you and your path. But don’t get overwhelmed, I’ll be your resident spiritual philosophy professor for the next few paragraphs. A great way to get started with numerology is to calculate your Soul Number, also known as your Soul Urge number. This can serve as a map suggesting what your purpose is, the things that matter to most to you, the ways you inspire others, and even suggest people you could be best compatible with, similar to the Zodiac.

Okay, what is mine?

Soul numbers summarize the qualities that already exist within you, each one being connected to its own unique meanings. The numbers we’ll cover today are 1-9, 11, 22, and 33. To calculate what your number is, I’ll need your first, middle, last, and dog’s name. (The dog name doesn’t have to do with the calculation, I’m.. just curious.) If you've changed your name, feel free to calculate both your birth name as well as the name you identify with. Your birth name, similar to your sun sign, will suggest the blueprint of your life. Using your nickname or chosen name will describe how you see yourself, and how others see you, much like your moon and rising signs in astrology. You will find that you resonate with them both, as they all combine to formulate the one of a kind being that is you.

How to calculate

For instructional purposes, I’ll be using THE, yes, THE Harry Edward Styles. **Disclaimer, Mr. Styles is not affiliated with our brand…...Yet**

1. Take each vowel from your full name:
