As the nurturing, verdant, lush goddess of growth, the Empress is here to nurture you as you flourish into the best version of yourself! Her appearance in a tarot reading promises a blessing of abundance and fertility. Yes, this tarot card can signal motherhood, but this doesn’t necessarily mean fertility in the literal sense of the word—it could also be a nod to energy for creative inspiration. Conceiving a new business or starting to write that novel? Think of the Empress as your cosmic cheerleader of the tarot’s Major Arcana, encouraging you every step of the way. As you journey from mighty seed to bountiful blossom in your garden of intentions, the Empress sees immense potential in you and honors your growth.

The Empress Upright

The Empress is a sensual being, and she reminds us how to make every experience a softer, more pleasurable one. Celebrate beauty and invoke every single one of your senses. Remember, it does not need to be a special occasion for it to be a beautiful one! The Empress uses the fine crystal and fancy dishes on a Tuesday afternoon just because, buys fresh flowers every Friday for herself because she wants to, and dresses in a way that pleases herself (a silk velvet gown on a Wednesday morning? Sequins on Sunday? Why not!). This is not frivolous, honey, this is PLEASURE! The Empress fully embodies her feminine energy, and she’s here to help you embrace your feminine side. Femininity has nothing to do with gender and is more about an energy invoked to create balance. This means tapping into your intuition, being more receptive, going with the flow, and getting creative.

The Empress Reversed

Feeling depleted? You’ve spent so much of your time and energy focusing on the needs of others that you’ve lost sight of your own emotional desires and boundaries. Sometimes it’s easier to get involved in the affairs of others rather than focusing on your own emotional needs. But you know, ignoring it all does not make it go away! In fact, it usually becomes bigger and more out of control when allowed to fester. To put it bluntly: Handle your shit! Take care of yourself so you can continue to care for others free of resentment.

Story continues

Are you feeling stuck? Plagued by creative blocks or a lack of inspiration? Don’t force it. Just sit back, relax, and let it flow. Be kinder to yourself! No one wants to create in a hostile environment, especially one of your own making. If you get weighed down by the possibilities of failure or the critiques of others, you will never be able to create your masterpiece. It’s time to go back to the proverbial drawing board and create for the joy of creating, free of heavy expectations. Maybe no one needs to know what you are doing just yet. Now is the time to create for yourself. When you can be in this mindset, my darling, inspiration will come so much more easily.

What Tarot card is number 7?

THE CHARIOT 7. THE CHARIOT. —Succour, providence; also war, triumph, presumption, vengeance, trouble. Reversed: Riot, quarrel, dispute, litigation, defeat.

Tarot card

The Chariot (VII) is the seventh trump or Major Arcana card in most traditional tarot decks. It is used in game playing as well as in divination.

Description [ edit ]

A figure sits in a chariot, although he holds no rope, he is pulled by two sphinxes or horses. There is often a black and white motif, for example one of the steeds may be black and the other white. The figure may be crowned or helmeted, and is winged in some representations. The figure may hold a sword or wand. The Thoth Tarot deck has the figure controlling four animals. The mallet, or gavel, on the chariot's coat of arms is a masonic symbol representing self control.[1] A canopy of stars above the charioteer's head is intended to show "celestial influences".[2]

Interpretation [ edit ]

According to A.E. Waite's 1910 book Pictorial Key to the Tarot, the Chariot card carries several divinatory associations:[3] 7. THE CHARIOT.—Succour, providence; also war, triumph, presumption, vengeance, trouble. Reversed: Riot, quarrel, dispute, litigation, defeat.
