Social media has been left shook after a viral video suggests you can see the initial of your soulmate in the lines of your left thumb. While there's no scientific evidence for soulmate theory, or why you may be able to see what looks like a letter in the folds of skin near the joint on you thumb, it's definitely fun to do. (Credit: Unsplash) Instagram user @greysgoldsandgreiges tried the hack and shared it on her page and called it 'cray cray'. She filmed her thumb with a magnifying filter on Instagram to analysis the lines on her thumbs and she reveals in the caption she saw the letter 'B'. Lots of commenters decided to try it for themselves, and posted their results. While a second person quipped: "Mines got a W I’m married to J I don’t know who W is but I can’t wait to meet him". And while some Instagram users were totally sold on the idea, others were less convinced and got mixed results. "This is crazy," wrote on impressed person.

Another user wrote: "Ooooo freaky! .. gunna check mine now."

While another person joked: "I guess my theft thumb messed up the assignment because I don’t see not one letter!"

And someone else teased: "Got the bluetooth symbol".

A woman named Kayla tweeted: "Apparently you can see your soulmate's initials in the creases on your left thumb. So if you see a K in there let me know."

While another account simply tweeted: "My thumb doesn’t have a soulmate initial."

And a third person shared their mum's brutal response after he failed to find an initial on his thumb. "My mom showed me this tik tok about how you can see your soulmate initials on your left thumb.

One out of the 7 people surveyed said they didn’t consider the person they were dating as the love of their life. A whopping 73 percent said they settled for the second best choice after their true love left them. What’s more, 17 percent of the people said they found the love of their life AFTER they settled down with a partner. What do we say, destiny works in strange ways.

An earlier research, conducted by North Opera, had suggested that people fall in love 4 times in their lives. That’s some respite, because modern relationships have a short shelf life. Another survey, by researchers from Hamilton College in the US, says people fall in love at the fourth sight. For all those who believe in love at first sight, you might consider walking into the bar again.
