How does God see people?

In Isaiah 43:4, it says, “Since you are precious and honored in my sight and because I love you, I will give people in exchange for you, nations in exchange for your life.” In God's eyes, we are precious and honored. He loves us so much that he would exchange nations for our life.

“But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ−by grace you have been saved.” – Ephesians 2:4-5 We all hear about how much God loves us. It has been said to us since we were little and have sung countless songs that talk about God’s love. However, sometimes it is still hard for us to really believe it and wrap our heads around the fact. But our inability to comprehend God’s love doesn’t mean that it isn’t true. Just because something may not feel true, doesn’t mean it isn’t. All throughout the Bible are verses telling us how much God loves us. In fact, the Bible is His love letter to us basically. Each page is filled with stories of His passion and how He sees us. Here are a few verses that describe how God sees His children.

We Are Precious and Honored in His Eyes

In Isaiah 43:4, it says, “Since you are precious and honored in my sight and because I love you, I will give people in exchange for you, nations in exchange for your life.” In God’s eyes, we are precious and honored. He loves us so much that he would exchange nations for our life.

We Are Fearfully and Wonderfully Made

Psalm 139:13-14 says, “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” Isn’t that so cool? God knew us before we were even born. He took the time to design what we looked like, who we would be, our passions and talents. It’s mindboggling just thinking about it.

We Are Made New in Him

2 Corinthians 5:17 states, “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old has gone, the new is here!” When we dedicate our lives to Christ, we are made new in Him. Our slates are wiped clean and any mistakes that we have made that we think are unforgivable, are forgiven by Him. We are as pure as snow.

He Takes Delight in Us

Zephaniah 3:17 says, “The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in His love, He will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.” Do you hear that? He loves us. He enjoys spending time with us and takes delight in everything we do. Those passions He has put in our hearts are from Him and He loves watching us live them out. God's eye view is a name for a point of view where the speaker or writer assumes they have knowledge only God would have. It appears several ways:

In religion, when an institution claims to speak for a divine being.

In writing, when an author leaves the point of view of the main actor to start writing about things they could not know if the story were in real life. In medicine when a doctor makes a claim that The Gaze they use on a patient, actually sees the problem, rather than making a guess at a problem. In ethics when a statement is made about who or what is right, without an honest attempt to make the process of deciding this consider all points of view. A special case of the last is in a wiki with a GodKing. Often this person can get others to believe what they say about what is right, without making any special effort to be fair to other views. Many people think René Descartes took a God's eye view when he said cogito ergo sum. George Berkeley argued that optics from Isaac Newton and Johannes Kepler also had this problem.
