Normal Dragon Pregnancy

A normal dragon pregnancy begins when the sperm of the mother, meets the unfertilized dragon egg, also inside the mother, which usually happens at a random time after the mother has hit puberty. It is still a mystery on how the egg forms in the mother, but dragon scientists are working to find the cause. But there are some things that these scientists are certain of that happens during the dragon pregnancy. Conception to the end of the third month is the same as a normal human baby, with the normal symptoms of pregnancy. It's after the third month does the development of a dragon fetus branch off. At the fourth month mark, the baby is starting to get bigger, and stronger. Like a human baby, a dragon baby will have 'feelable' kicks at this time. Only difference is that the dragon's hearing is starting to pick up a few things, mainly the mother's heartbeat, stomach, breathing, and other bodily sounds. At five, only thing that happens is that the baby grows bigger. Six months is known as the 'bonding' month, since this is the time where the baby's hearing starts to get better, as is able to hear it's mother's voice for the first time. The baby will usually respond to mom's voice by kicks or punches, the baby's way of saying 'I can hear you.' At ten months is when the baby's hearing is finally fully developed, and is able to hear just outside it's warm haven. The twelfth month is when the baby is full developed and is ready to be born.

A dragon pregnancy is a one-time deal. If the baby is aborted, miscarried, or stillborn, that's it. Mom can not have another as a way to keep the population down and to prevent those with an evil heart to create more.
